NBOT Officers 3rd Quarterly Meeting held at DLSU Learning Commons last 16 September 2017. Officers gamely posed for pictures right after the brief workshop facilitated by Ms Elvira Lapuz about the IFLA Leadership Training she recently attended. Council Officers in attendance are Ms Rose Villamater (STRLC Vice-President and NBOT Auditor) and Rene Manlangit (STRLC President and NBOT VP for Luzon).

Date: 16 Oct 2017 (Monday)
Time: 1:00 in the afternoon
Venue: Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila
Attire: Inductees - Business attire / Parents & Guests - Business attire
Tickets: Inductees/Guests - P1,200.00 per head




IMPORTANT: From 4-11 Oct 2017, registration for the issuance of Certificate of Registration, Professional Identification Card (ID) and Report of Rating will be done online and shall be issued to the successful examinees during the oathtaking ceremony. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow the instructions for the initial registration

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

1) Duly accomplished oath form
2) 2 copies of passport sized colored picture with white background and complete name tag
3) 1 copy of 1x1 colored picture
4) 2 pcs documentary stamps
5) short brown envelope and payment for the initial registration

Those who will NOT register [online] will NOT be issued PRC Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card during the oath-taking.

You will register online, but you still have to go to the PRC to sign the Registry Book of Professionals and secure your PRC oath-taking tickets.

The Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (PATLS), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts - National Committee on Library and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS) and the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI) , is pleased to announce the conduct of the 26th LIS Wizard Competition on November 29, 2017, 1:00 PM at the Lourdes J. Custodio ICD Room, Albertus Magnus Building, University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

PATLS is inviting interested LIS schools to send a team composed of two currently enrolled BLIS students to participate in the said competition. Please find below the mechanics, reminders and program of the competition.

 Prizes are as follows:
                                                                                1st place –  PhP 10,000.00
                                                                                2nd place – PhP 7,000.00
                                                                                3rd place – PhP 5,000.00

Below are some reminders for the 26th LIS Wizard Competition:

1. Submit the names of contestants  through the online registration form

2. Bring photocopies of proof of current semester registration / enrollment of the registered contestants on the day of the competition, 29 November 2017. The participants may present any of the following documents:

• Certification from the school registrar
• Certification from the Office of the College Secretary
• Duly processed Certificate of Registration

The Advisers / Coaches need to submit them to the LIS Wizard Competition Committee for checking on or before 12:00 noon at the event venue.
